Lord knows we are all on personal journeys filled with learning experiences that are designed specifically for us — how nurturing. Let’s save whether we learned from it or not for a different article. However, I too am in an everlasting process of learning. Learning that sharing my opinion is not required unless otherwise asked for. Learning that some people are far more sensitive than they may be willing to admit. Within a hard exterior is such mush. How could this be? And why conceal it with people closest to you? I am not interested nor am I in the business of securing feelings. Don’t we say “tell the truth” or “keep it a hunnid?” It’s like yall changing, or softening up on me. Where did your hardshell drop off and roll to? Go get it. Journey.

Stop walking on eggshells with people! If you cannot be you, simply remove yourself from whatever relationship it is. Stop wasting/making time to explain what you meant by what you said because it was taken out of context. Or, you two simply do not know each other as thoroughly as you thought. 

Journey. I said we are all learning.

I’ve also learned that we all have trauma, but not everyone’s priority is to heal it. Some make their beds, to complain about it, to proceed to lay in it. It is difficult for some to begin the process of change. To change it is vital that you acknowledge what you are doing is WRONG. NO ONE IS EXEMPT! We all have trauma, whether we’ve already identified it or not; it’s traumatic. 

There is much that I have learned, but last and impossibly least. I’ve learned people dream to be more successful than they are willing to work. It is amazing what people will tell you if you listen, but to carry on and not carry out everything you spoke on? The want of riches but no work depicted; nothing. Priorities for everyone can look quite different, and if I was concerned/closely monitoring what everyone close to me was doing; I would never be successful myself. It is mentally draining when someone is not living up to their fullest potential that the both of you know they have. Or even trying for that matter.
